The Texas Department of State Health Services will now require a Delegation of Authority for all future Radiation Safety Officer amendment requests, new License applications, and Transfer of Control applications.
The Delegation of Authority acknowledges the responsibilities of a Radiation
Safety Officer detailed in Title 25 Texas Administrative Code Section
289.252(f)(3), and gives the RSO the authority necessary to meet those
responsibilities. The form must be signed by a Management Representative
and the RSO.
General License Acknowledgements and Industrial X-Ray Registrations do not
require a Delegation of Authority.
